As a 25-year resident of the Washington DC area, Tim Hanan knows the
local real estate market and has sold property throughout the area.
Before entering the real estate profession, he was a captain in the Air
Force, a trial lawyer, and an executive with one of America's largest
corporations. Jean Hanan grew up in Alexandria, Virginia. She came full
circle, having started her professional career in real estate following
graduate school. After working as an executive in the energy industry
and as a consultant for the World Bank, Jean returned to the real estate
business.
For almost 20 years, the Hanans have lived in Georgetown. To give back to
the community, Tim has been involved in several organizations including
the mayor's Georgetown Parking Task Force and the Forum of Civic
Associations. Over the years, he has also served on the boards of the
Washington Opera, Arena Stage, Ford's Theater, and Wolf Trap. He has
been an active alumnus of Williams College and the University of
Virginia Law School.
Jean
has served on the Board of the Friends of Montrose and Dumbarton Oaks
Park and chaired the renovation of the Montrose Playground which is now used as the model for playground renovation by the National
Park Service. She has also been a volunteer and served as chairman of
various endeavors at Little Folks School, Beauvoir, and National
Cathedral School.
The Hanans partner with other distinguished real estate professionals. Peggy Goldsmith has been selling real estate in the
Washington DC area for over 25 years. Her outstanding reputation and
extensive experience places her among the most respected and
sought-after agents in Washington DC. Peggy acquired her acumen for the business from
her family which has been in the real estate business in
Washington for generations. She attended National Cathedral
School and Sarah Lawrence College and received a masters degree from
American University. Peggy, Tim and Jean have been involved in more
condominium sales in Washington DC than most local agents.
David Smith, a Vice President with
J Street Companies, Randall Hagner's parent company, has also been a partner in commercial and residential sales. A
native of Arkansas, David has been working in commercial real estate in
the Washington DC area for almost 25 years. He represents national
associations, businesses, and banking institutions as well as
individuals in the sale, purchase or leasing of commercial office and
retail buildings. Tim and David over the last five years have been
involved in 50 percent of the listed sales on Wisconsin Avenue in DC.
