The
neighborhood of Cathedral Heights is largely single family homes and spacious
rowhouses built in the beginning of the 20th Century.
Styles range from significant Colonials, Tudors, and
Federals to a few smaller bungalows. Most have sizeable
surrounding lawns and large shade trees giving the
neighborhood a stately and desirable ambiance. Cathedral
Heights and Observatory Circle are also home to many
luxury condominiums and coops.
HIGHLIGHTS
Cathedral Heights represents an area that
spreads into several neighborhoods and is often confused
with adjacent neighborhoods. More than the name, this
area of homes represents ideal location. While Cathedral
Heights has no commercial area, it is close to shopping on Massachusetts, Wisconsin,
and New Mexico Avenues. Its tree-lined streets give the
neighborhood a settled and elegant feel. Cathedral
Heights' proximity to Glover-Archbold Park only enriches
its bucolic character.
